We have been diamond merchants since 1866. We specialise in diamond and gemstone jewellery including sourcing loose diamonds.

Our reputation for providing high quality jewellery is second to none and we strive to make your buying experience special. We have excellent contacts with various suppliers and if you have a specific diamond or gemstone piece that you cant see in the shop please ask us and we will do our best to source the item for you including sourcing loose diamonds. If we can’t source what you are looking for we have a jewellery specialist who can individually make the piece for you if you have an idea of what you want or have a sketch or drawing. We can also re-design your existing jewellery so if you have been handed down a piece of jewellery that is not in the metal you like and to your style we can help you re-design it, which is proving very popular with our customers at the moment.

Our stock is every changing so not all our jewellery and watches are displayed on the website, but if you are looking for something specific please call into the shop or telephone us on 01437 762050 we will do our best to help you. We are West Wales’ leading diamond merchants and have an ever changing array of diamonds to suit every taste and budget. We also stock Yellow, White & Rose Gold jewellery, Silver jewellery, Amber and Pearl jewellery.

We currently stock a range of Citizen watches which have the Eco-Drive Solar powered technology and our new addition to our watch display are the superb Swiss Roamer Watches which have an excellent reputation for quality and price. We also have a new addition to our watches with the popular and renowned name of british watchmaker Accurist which revamped their watches in 2022 showcasing their retro brands with a modern twist. All our watches are listed on our website.

We offer a full watch repair service including Rolex, Omega, Tag Heuer, Tissot, Cartier, Zenith, Seiko and many more as well as a full jewellery repair service. We can also adjust and replace watch bracelets or straps and fit batteries while you wait. We can provide written valuations for jewellery pieces or watches for probate and insurance purposes.

Brief History

Established 1866

Howells the Jewellers was established by 19 year old William Howells in the year 1866. He had previously worked at Bonville’s Court Colliery in Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire. The business is now run by the fourth generation of the same family.

Fantastic recent experience after making the schoolboy error of losing my wedding ring. Happened during a house move away from Pembrokeshire, so the lovely Yvonne and her associate checked their supplier for stock and offered to send to our new address in South Yorkshire. Kept in close contact throughout and new ring arrived with a minimum of fuss. Highly recommend - very smooth experience from start to finish.

I can highly recommend Howells Jewellers. I have used their services several times. They repaired my fiancé’s ring after it broke where it gad worn thin. It looked as good as new, after the repair. They also cleaned it and inscribed it for him.They repaired a very dainty ring that belonged to my Mum. It was a piece that she loved and she was overjoyed at how good it looked afterwards.I have also used their probate valuation service, which is undertaken in house. Paul and Yvonne are always very welcoming and knowledgeable. They did a fantastic job with the valuation for probate, individually labelling each item and itemising it. They also cleaned all of the items that were valued.I would definitely recommend them and will use their services again in the future.

Fantastic service, great communication with extremely high standard repair service.Well done Paul and Yvonne you are both wonderful.My wife and I took 4 rings in a couple of months ago. Two were wedding rings that needed resizing, the other two were our grandmother’s engagement rings that had been handed down to us. Our engagement rings had been repaired previously by our grandparents many years ago, but the standard of repair wasn’t great.Paul let us now that the engagement rings would be a challenge as they had a lot of work needing to be done, but assured us that when repaired they would look fantastic.What an understatement!I can’t find the words, but the emotion that we both feel when we look at our grandparents engagement rings will always be attributed to the high class standards of Paul and Yvonne at Howells Jewellers.Thank you both from the bottom of our hearts.Geraint and Kerry.

I went to Howells with an old signet ring that belonged to my great grandmother, it was very misshapen and worn (bad enough to not be wearable)They sent it off locally and within two weeks it was fixed back to perfect condition for a very reasonable price,All the people that work there are very friendly and accommodating, will 100% be using their services again

We recently bought my engagement ring at Howells and throughout we had wonderful customer service from Yvonne and Paul. The ring needed to be sent to London for resizing and we were assured that it would be sent off on Monday and ready to be collected on the Friday. We were dubious, but they were true to their word!
